To the new members - welcome to DarkEdgeIndustrial.com, formerly industrialnation.net. To the old members, welcome back! There has been a lot going on in the past few months, and we haven't had a FULLY functional site in quite some time. Thanks to everyone for hanging in there, and waiting it out!
We have a LOT of new things on the main site, and a LOT more to come! The forum looks a little different, but all the old posts are still there. A 'Meet and Greet' section has been added, for both the new and old members to stop in and introduce themselves to everyone. Also now there is a side navigation menu for the forum. Just click 'Home' to get back to the main site after browsing the forum.
Also, LCDarkk has been promoted to Admin. If you have any questions about the forum, please feel free to PM him and he will be more than happy to assist you. He has been a fan of the scene for many years, and is looking forward to helping us out here at DEI.
Some of the new features of the main site include the following:
Interviews & Reviews: We have added an Interviews & Reviews section to the main site. In order to help keep the site more self-running, registered users can submit the articles themselves, and one of the admins only has to log-in to approve them. Each article will be proofread and approved or denied within 24 hours. Your submission will only be denied if it is extremely poorly written, (i.e. You shouldn't listen to ___ because they suck. I hated all the songs. None of them are good.) or an abundance of foul language (a few are okay, but if every other word is an expletive, your submission will be discarded.) You can upload articles on CD Reviews, Movie Reviews, and Band Interviews. Please remember to upload an image with your article, such as a CD cover or band pic, or Movie pic.
Games: Check out the new Games section. A few old favorites you may remember from your childhood days, a few new favorites, and a few random ones that were just stupid enough that they had to be included! One of the Admins spends quite a bit of time on Donkey Kong. 
Shopping: We have added a section for Goth/Industrial Scene shopping links to be added. We have placed a few just to start out and so you get the idea, but feel free to go into the section and submit some. All links submitted will be posted within 24 hours by one of the Admins. Please do not post anything 'inappropriate' as it will not be approved. (No explanation should be necessary.)
Image Gallery: Feel free to upload as many photos as you wish in the Image Gallery. It's intended to be a combination of our previous galleries, but built into the main site and all under one username this time. There are sections to upload personal pics of yourself, and sections to upload your Art or Photography. Please keep nudity in posted Artwork to a minimum, and keep it tasteful if any. Photo nudity cannot be allowed whatsoever, as we don't want to lose our hosting. Thanks.
Downloads: All Featured Band mp3s will be loaded here (and also in the Jukebox.) In time, there may be other downloads here as well, and we may allow users to upload music to have added to the Jukebox, but at first it will only be the Featured Bands.
Blog: This was a new feature we thought we would try out. Blogging has become more popular over the last few years, so we thought we would give members the opportunity to have a blog here if they so choose. If the feature becomes popular and more member start to use it, we can have different layouts and designs for you to choose from. If it doesn't really catch on, it will be removed from the site.
Jukebox: LCDarkk has added his first few selections to the DEI Jukebox, and about once a week, he will be swapping some out for new ones. Featured Bands' songs will also be added to the Jukebox as time goes on.
We have also decided to bring back the Featured Bands section. If you would like your band to be featured, please e-mail a bio, at least one image to use (either a band pic or an album cover pic), a website link, and links to mp3s to feature on the site. My e-mail address is mel@darkedgeindustrial.com. If you don't have your music uploaded anywhere, but you would like to be featured on the site and have mp3s, let me know and I will tell you where to upload it to the site.
