| Remember back in the 1970s when people used to buy records and record them onto cassettes...and then put the record away for safe keeping? That\'s what I grew up around. |

I umm (don\'t shoot me here) bought the new Beasties CD and i really like it. I did not however play it on my comp. In a world where I have to sit through 45 mins of commercials and previews at the movies nothing surprises me. It pisses me off sure but I still think the CD was worth it _________________ wait, the gang leaders name is Syder? like the juice? thats crazy |

Regardless of music prices, software downloads are a slap in the face. What happened to competition lowering prices? The music industry could try to improve their products; give us a reason to purchase the cd\'s, even if we can pirate the music. Take vinyl for example; there\'s more to a record than the recordings. _________________

Yeah I have to go with the various formats, I buy any music that I choose to spin at a venue. But I need to usually burn a copy of it and take the copy with me so i dont bust up or lose my original cd _________________ Worrying is Like sitting in a rocking chair. gives ya something to do, but you wont get anywhere |

Me too! We have so much in common, what's your sign?
Actually I rip CDs as soon as I get them, dump them from laptop to desktop, then to my 40gig external. I barely use 'em after they're ripped. The only one I recall installing software was Aphex Twin's come to daddy, but it enabled you to watch the video... and it was lovely. _________________ "Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth." | I think it just goes to show that there are some big wigs who are getting desperate to hold on to what could very well be an outdated marketing modle within a few years. . . Thier too scared to think outside the box to figureout how to embrace things like Myspace/Soulseek/Megaupload etc. . .as the new state of the medium. . . cause that would upset a rather well balanced apple cart. . . |
